French Immersion Program Monitoring Committee

Thank you to our group of parents that have volunteered to be part of our French Immersion Program Monitoring Committee.  We are thrilled to be able to have a parent voice in our review of our program at Mayland Heights. 

  

School Improvement Results Reporting & School Development Planning

Alberta Education requires each school to create a plan to improve student learning. The School Development Plan (SDP) aligns individual school goals with the identified goals in Calgary Board of Education (CBE), Education Plan.  Each year, schools capture evidence of continuous improvement towards the goals set. In accordance with Alberta Education’s Requirements for School Authority Planning and Results Reporting, schools then provide assurance to school communities by communicating student growth and achievement in an annual report that demonstrates improvement results and next steps. These results support continuous improvement of the quality and effectiveness of education programs provided to students while also improving student learning and achievement.  Our School Development Plan can be found on our website.

Fees to Parents Report for 2022-2023

CBE supports clear and transparent fee setting and disclosure processes that enable parents and students to see the linkage between programs, goods and services provided, the related fee and the value received. Our report  can be found on our website.

New LOGO for Mayland Heights - Mayland Huskies!

We are seeking input from families to create our new slogan to accompany our new logo of the Husky.  If you are interested in providing your suggestions please use the link below to let us know!

Parent Pick Up and Drop Off

An important reminder for parents:

• pull over and park to drop off their children.  
• always use the door on the side of the sidewalk. 
• do not stop in the middle of the road to drop off. 

 We have seen too many near misses lately and we are concerned.  Thank you for your cooperation.
