CBE Student Survey

Mayland Heights students will be participating in an online student survey called the CBE Student Survey. This survey helps the school and CBE to understand students’ experiences at school. Please find the details of the survey are:

Who: Students in Grades 5 and 6

When: Wed. February 26, 2025 (Gr. 6), Tues. March 11, 2025 (Gr. 5)

A letter was being sent home to families with more information about this survey. Please contact Melissa Bartlett with any questions at mebartlett@cbe.ab.ca

Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) Survey

Attached is the parent letter being sent home today about the Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) student survey that grade 4 Mayland Heights students will have an opportunity to complete over the next couple weeks.

Parents of students in grade 4 will also receive more information and a random access code to complete the online Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) parent survey from the Calgary Board of Education soon. We hope that all parents of grade 4 students will take the opportunity to complete this survey. If you would like this survey provided in a language other than English, please contact Melissa Bartlett at mebartlett@cbe.ab.ca

We thank you in advance for taking the time to participate and letting us know more about your child’s experience at Mayland Heights School.

Thank You/ MERCI School Council

A huge thank you to the MH School Council and MH Fundraising Association for organizing the Alien-In Line Family Night for our families!  A great time was had by everyone!  Another huge success.

School Planning Parent Survey - All Families

We want to hear from all parents.  Please take a moment to complete a short 8 minute survey.  It is available in more than 30 languages.  Your comments will help us plan for next year and understand parent perceptions and questions.  Survey Link here MH School Planning Survey 2025  Survey is open until March 31, 2025.

It’s Saturday MUSICAL - Updated time 2pm

Due to the current Labour Strike, evening activities have needed to be adjusted.  As we know our students have been working hard on their performance, we did not want to cancel or postpone, therefore our Musical: It’s Saturday will be open to the parents to watch on Thursday afternoon starting at 2PM sharp.  There will be NO EVENING performance.  We realize that this creates challenges for parents to rearrange their schedules to attend.  While we cannot film the entire performance we are going to share small sections of the performance on our Instagram page, which parents can view.

Please reach out to Mrs. Korpela or Ms. Bartlett if you have any questions.
