Visitors in our School

At Mayland Heights School, we strive to provide a safe and caring learning environment for all our staff and students.  To maintain this level of safety, we are asking all parents to check in to the office if they arrive at the school to pick up their child.  We cannot have parents wander the hallways during the school day without proper identification.  Thank you for your understanding.

Reporting Absences and Student Illness

It is important that you call the school if your child is absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-6290 ext. 1.

If your child is ill, please keep them at home until they are well enough to participate in all school activities. If your child becomes ill during the school day, we will contact you and you will be expected to arrange for your child to be picked up as soon as possible.

Lunch Supervision Registration

A reminder to all parents to login to their CBE account and register their child (ren) for lunch supervision.  More information can be found on our school website here

French for Parents – Level 1

Chinook Learning Services offers courses specifically designed for parents and caregivers of CBE French Immersion students. For Fall 2023, Chinook Learning Services is once again offering French for Parents – Level 1 classes. This eight-week course will help parents of bilingual students learn or refresh their French language skills, build their network of bilingual parents and support their children’s learning at home.  This course would also be beneficial for any Support Staff who are interested in learning along with parents!
