Transportation Requests for 2026-2027 - June 14 deadline

Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.)

Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.

New Kindergarten Orientation Wednesday, June 3

We are excited to invite you to our Kindergarten Orientation Evening! This special event is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet our dedicated team, explore the classroom environment, and learn more about what to expect in the upcoming school year.

Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Time: 6:00PM to 7:00PM

Location: Mayland Heights School Gym

During the evening, we will share important information about our daily routines, curriculum, and how we work together to support your child's early learning journey. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions and connect with other families. Your child entering Kindergarten will have a chance to experience 4 different centres in our school.

Family Picnic - Wednesday, June 17 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm - at the MH school playground and field

We will be once again getting together as a community this year to celebrate our families and create connections.  The YYC Food Trucks have been invited once more.  There will be games outside for the students and families. We ask families to bring their own food for their family.

MH Outdoor Learning Space -Final Design

Over the past several years, students, staff, and our Parent Council have worked together to thoughtfully design a space that reflects the needs and ideas of our school community. Thanks to funding support from the Calgary Parks Foundation, the students’ preferred design was professionally developed by Eight One Eight Studio, Planning and Design Collaborative.

We are excited to share the final design, which has gone through several stages of feedback, approvals, and refinements to align with both student voice and Calgary Board of Education guidelines.

Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2026 beside the playground and will be completed in phases. Throughout the planning process, we have also worked alongside Elders to help ensure the space honours culture, nature, and our commitment to reconciliAction.  Thank you for helping make this vision a reality for our students.
