End-of-Year Celebration for ALL Mayland Heights Families -
Wed. June 4th at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
We are excited to share that Mayland Heights School will be hosting an End-of-Year Celebration and Culture Evening to bring together our students, families, and staff to celebrate our diversity and an excellent year of learning. The event will feature a potluck where families are invited to share a dish that represents their culture, family games on the field, refreshments, and a showcase of student learning.
Each family is invited to bring a dish to share and take time to connect with other families. Families can bring their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the weather and picnic outside. Teachers and administrators are looking forward to seeing everyone.
FOOD TRUCKS will be present!
Family Squeezed Lemonade, Cookie Dough YYC, Family Cheesed, Perogies

Outdoor Indigenous Learning Space: Update
Our students met with our Elder William Singer this week to receive the blessing and knowledge to build our Outdoor Indigenous Learning Space. We are also thankful for the School Council group who have supported the school in being awarded the Calgary Park Foundation Grant that supports the design with a partnership from 818 Studio who are a landscape and design collaborative who can bring to life the design from our students. Our school has also been awarded a grant from TD Friends of the Environment to purchase some trees for the school grounds and we are working with the CBE Grounds Department to have some trees planted soon. Stay tuned for the final design plan soon.
**A wonderful surprise, the City of Calgary has also planted a dozen trees at the corner of Maunsell Drive and MacKinnon Drive. These trees will grow and enhance our space for the community.
Jump Rope for Heart
Our school is participating in Jump Rope for Heart – a fundraiser that will encourage our students to get active, build healthy habits and give back. Please read the attached document for ideas to support the cause at home.
Report Cards available June 25th - ONLINE ONLY
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students starting Wednesday, June 25 until July 25, 2025 through MyCBE. After July 25, reports cards are no longer available for viewing, downloading and/or printing.
Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades and attendance information.
Report cards summarize and communicate student achievement at a point in time. In addition to the report card, schools communicate with parents/guardians about student progress on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways.
