URGENT: Demographic Forms to complete

Parents are asked to please complete the Annual Demographic Verification Form on their  MyCBE

account.  This is extremely important for the school to have complete information by September 22, 2025.

Currently, approximately 28% of students do not have a completed Demographic Verification Form for the 2025-26 school year.

Important | These forms are a legal requirement from Alberta Education for funding purposes. If forms remain incomplete, it may result in a reduction in funding for the Calgary Board of Education

Transportation Registration (BUS)

Register for the 2025-2026 School Year

Lists are updated regularly. Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.  More information can be found using this Transportation Link

Follow your child’s bus on the APP https://www.mybusstop.ca/  School CODE:CBESNDBHJM  - select your child’s bus route

Morning Drop Off - 9AM - 9:15AM

All students are asked to enter the school using the front entrance in the morning.  Doors open at 9AM and until 9:15AM when all our school buses have arrived.  Students arriving after 9:15AM will need to ring the front doorbell and report to the front office for a late slip.  Arriving at school on time helps form healthy habits for students and allow them to start their day without the stress of feeling rushed or missing out on critical morning classroom routines.

Afternoon Pick Up is at 3:50PM-

No calls to classrooms will be made after 3:30PM for pick up. We ask parents to consider making plans ahead of time with their children for a meeting spot around the school to facilitate the busy doorways and help vehicle traffic.  Families driving to pick up children are encouraged to park on side streets and allow our 4 large buses to park in front of the school and load our students.  Parents should consider driving in the same direction as the buses.

  • Do not make u-turns in the middle of the street.
  • Parents are not permitted to park in the school parking lot.  The parking lot is reserved for staff and daycare vans or special mobility vehicles.  Children running across the parking lot or street is dangerous.  Practice safe traffic habits with your children. We care about all our students and families and do not want anyone hurt.

TERRY FOX - 45th Anniversary

It’s the 45th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope. This year, our school is going all out to support cancer research! We’re proud to carry on Terry’s legacy by coming together as a school community to make a difference. Our run will take place on September 25th, 2025 at 3:00 pm on the school field.

ORANGE SHIRT DAY - Sept 26

For more than a century, thousands of Indigenous children were taken from their homes and placed in residential schools. This government policy had individual, family, and community intergenerational trauma impacts. Mayland Heights will be showing their support for Truth and ReconciliACTION by wearing an orange shirt on Friday, September 26th.  To learn more about Orange Shirt Day please visit this link ORANGE SHIRT DAY.
